International Conference “Main Challenges and Trends in Insolvency, Restructuring and Debt Relief Procedures” organized in the framework of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU was held on May 18, 2018, in Varna.

The event attracted the participation of high-level insolvency experts from the European Commission and the European Parliament, representatives of EU Member States participating in the EU Council Working Group on the draft directive on restructuring and second chance, as well as judges, insolvency professionals, representatives of banks and legal science.

Director of the CLD Foundation, Dr. Nelly Madanska, presented a report on “Challenges to EU Member States who do not yet have a second chance tradition “.
